Older adults are often undervalued members of our society, and Tapestry seeks to help change that. In everything we do, we advocate for seniors to be part of diverse populations, treated equitably in a way that respects their unique needs and contributions, and included by actively valuing them as members of a group. In that same spirit, we seek to include within our organization people of diverse backgrounds along race, gender, physical ability, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

While AI has great potential society and the lives of older adults, we recognize that it has an appropriate place and time, and that Tapestry is about connections among humans.

As a general rule, we will not use AI-generated art or content, nor do we use it to respond to any of our members. Whenever someone at Tapestry writes to you, it’s a human writing it. If there is a reason to use AI in any of these situations, we will proactively tell you.

Some third-party platforms such as our Facebook group will use AI to analyze your interactions and make recommendations. We have no control over these platforms and encourage everyone to think about what information you share on social media sites.

Where we generally will use AI is for idea generation, recommendations to our staff, grammar/wording checks, and basic research that we independently verify. In these cases, there is always a human between the AI output and you.

Tapestry does not share your name, email, or other information with any third parties without your consent. If we would like to publish anything you’ve told us we will get documented approval from you before doing so.
